ROOF REPLACEMENT UPDATE

UPDATE week 5.

The new roof has progressed well and the end is in sight. All being well next week will see a major step forward in the replacement of the ‘birds’ nest wiring that has now been fully exposed. It has served the shed well over the years and now is a great opportunity to upgrade the wiring.Following the removal of the old roof the internal areas will require a good clean once the lighting and power sockets have been reworked. This will provide a good working environment pre ceiling installation in week 7 all being well.

From Tuesday 22nd it is open house once more for as many members who want to escape to the shed to assist, as required, with the ongoing tasks. When the roofers have departed, 22nd/23rd normal opening hours will be resumed.

Projects can resume on completion of all internal work.

From Monday 4th November the tea boat, at 30p per cup, will be re-instated in order to replenish our stock, still a bargain!

The next major task will be the replacement canopy. More later.

From John and myself thank you to the watchkeepers for their diligence, and to one and all for your continuing support.
