4. As January is traditionally a quiet month for articles, I thought I would share a personal goal I achieved leading up to the closed period. Since our five and a half year old grandaughter has the LEGO bug, I have also caught it. So I thought why not get myself a kit. It does become additive I have to say. I really enjoyed putting together my own Volvo lowloader and digger complete with pneumatic working parts from 2,274 pieces. Next problem is where to display it! It goes to proveIt goes to prove you are never to old to play with bricks.

January diary of events dates:-

WMS Christmas closed period pm Friday 20th Dec 24 reopening Monday 6th January 2025.

(Please note that the WMS will be open Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd January for a Shed deep clean only, ready for the New Year. All comers welcome. There won’t be any opportunities for personal project work on those days)

And finally: Our loud Christmas jumper gathering at the lunch. I hazard a guess that the combined ages of those in the photo must be at least 1000 years! See! Being a member does have its advantages.

New for 2025 starting next month. ‘The History in Your Tool Box’. Over the coming months I hope to pick a popular tool and looking it historical origins. Yes am becoming a ‘Tool anorak’!!
