As we approach the dusk of another year, now our tenth year of existence, we have evolved in to a valuable hub for the senior aged, but young at heart men of the Community. With costs ever increasing we have had to look at funding other than from membership fees and donations for tools or woodwork projects undertaken. We have been very appreciative of the support of the ASDA Foundation who support local causes. Our ASDA Community Champion ,Jacqui Benham, has been with us all the way, advising on our grant application. We were very grateful when we found we were successful with our application. This will really help WMS as we go through a period of upgrading the building with a new roof, interior electrical fittings and renewing tools available in the workshops. Jacqui paid us a call recently to present the ASDA Foundation cheque to our Chairman John Skerratt and Committee. Members of the WMS came along too to show their appreciation. We give a huge thank you to the ASDA Foundation and particularly to Jacqui who has almost become a member of WMS. We look forward to 2025 with renewed vigour and a chance to continue providing a place for men to come and share projects and more importantly company and friendship.
